In October 2022, I was blessed with an incredible opportunity to offer voluntary teaching at a truly special horse sanctuary in Spain. This sanctuary, run by two remarkable sisters, left a deep and lasting impression on me. Their passion, dedication, and love for the animals they care for continue to inspire me.
My mission was to teach them Reiki, empowering them to offer healing not only to each other but also to the animals they work with every day. While the sanctuary primarily cares for horses, it has also become a safe haven for a few cats, donkeys, and even chickens.
Heartfelt Connections
The connection I felt with the horses at the sanctuary was profound. Many of them seemed to actively seek out the healing energy, creating moments that were both magical and deeply moving.
One horse with an injured leg became a case study for Virginia, one of the sisters, to practice her healing skills under my guidance. To her surprise, the horse directed all the healing energy to her mouth rather than her leg. It turned out there was an issue with her mouth, which was later addressed by a dentist. Seeing the horse thrive after receiving the care she needed was a beautiful reminder of the wisdom and communication animals possess—and the transformative power of healing.
A Magical Experience
Witnessing Concordia and Virginia as they worked with Reiki to support their horses was nothing short of magical. These moments reaffirmed the importance of the work I do and the extraordinary impact that energy healing can have on both animals and humans.
Since returning home, I’ve stayed in touch with the sisters and continue to hear incredible stories of how Reiki has transformed the care they provide for the animals and supported their own wellbeing. It’s heartwarming to know that the seeds planted during my visit are still flourishing.
This journey wouldn’t have been possible without the generosity of an amazing woman who funded the trip, enabling me to offer my services on a voluntary basis. For her kindness, I am deeply grateful.
Supporting the Sanctuary
This experience was a powerful reminder of how magical and transformational energy healing can be. The sanctuary and its caretakers are doing incredible work, and they rely on the support of others to continue their mission of providing love and care to these animals.
