When I talk about energy in the context of healing, it's important to clarify what I mean. At Hazeology Healing, energy refers to channeled energy—a gentle, universal force that flows through all living things. Understanding this concept of energy is essential to grasp the profound impact it can have on you and your beloved furry or feathered friends. Let’s break it down simply.

What Is Energy? Here Comes the science!

Science tells us that everything in the universe is made up of energy, vibrating at different frequencies. Even our bodies (and those of our animal companions) are not just solid forms; they’re surrounded and permeated by an electromagnetic field. This field plays a vital role in our overall health and well-being.

Channeled energy, often referred to in healing practices like Reiki, is a specific kind of intentional energy. Think of it as tapping into a vast, universal energy source and directing it for healing purposes. When this energy is channeled, it interacts with the electromagnetic field of the recipient, creating shifts that can promote balance and relaxation. These shifts may occur on physical, emotional, and energetic levels.

Why Animals Respond So Wonderfully to Healing Energy

Animals are incredible beings—they live in the moment and don’t carry the emotional or mental baggage that we humans do. Because of this, when they receive healing energy, they process it immediately.

You may see your pet yawn, stretch, blink slowly, or even develop a drippy nose during a healing session. These are signs of release as their bodies relax and rebalance. Animals instinctively understand what their bodies need and are incredibly open to receiving healing energy.

What Is Animal Healing?

Animal healing is a gentle, non-invasive practice that supports the well-being of animals by channeling energy to them. This isn’t a replacement for veterinary care—it’s a complementary treatment that works beautifully alongside traditional medicine.

Here at Hazeology Healing, I’ve worked with countless animals, each with unique needs, from anxious dogs to horses recovering from injury. I’ve also supported animals during their final months of life. In end-of-life care, healing sessions often provide deep relaxation and comfort, giving pets quality moments with their families.

Benefits of Animal Healing

Animal healing can offer remarkable benefits, including:

  • Stress Reduction: Promotes deep relaxation for anxious or hyperactive animals.

  • Pain Relief: Complements medical treatments to help manage pain and discomfort.

  • Emotional Balance: Eases emotional trauma, such as from abuse or abandonment.

  • Faster Recovery: Supports recovery from surgery or injury by aiding the body’s natural healing process. Speeding things up.

  • Enhanced Bonding: Deepens the connection between you and your animal through shared relaxation and trust.

  • Peaceful Transitions: Provides comfort and ease during end-of-life care, creating peaceful final moments.

Why Consider Learning Reiki for Your Animals?

One of the most empowering ways to support your pet is by learning Level 1 Reiki healing. It’s a beautiful skill that not only helps your animal companions but also benefits your own well-being. Imagine being able to provide a calming, healing presence whenever your pet needs it.

Inspiring Stories from Hazeology Healing

One of the most memorable experiences in my practice was working with a sweet senior shar pei dog named Ursa-Minor (first dog I ever met with a double barrelled name). She had been undergoing cancer treatment from both a conventional vet and holistic vet.

While the veterinary care provided essential medical support, the healing sessions brought moments of peace and relaxation for both the dog and their owner. Surprisingly this gave Ursa an extra year of her life which was not expected, when we started the sessions the owner had been told she only had a few months.

In Ursa's Animal healing sessions, she even began to display much more affection with her owner, as she had always been a dog with big boundaries, who you could only touch with her permission. Her owner would joke that she really was royalty, so we must bow before her, and then maybe if we are lucky we can have the honour of rubbing her tummy.

After just a month of sessions she began to come for cuddles something that she had never really done before. She loved her animal healing sessions and I would find her waiting at the gate on my arrival. In her final months, these sessions became a source of deep comfort for Ursa, helping her beloved owner cherish their remaining time together.

Animal healing is a profound way to support the beings who bring so much love into our lives. It’s a gentle reminder that healing isn’t just about curing—it’s about deep connection, care, and compassion. Whether you’re seeking to help your pet relax, recover, or simply feel loved, healing energy can make a world of difference.

With love

Hazel
